Start with a number, not a guess.
Most performance plans start with a hunch. Ours start with a baseline: strength, movement quality, and side-to-side symmetry, measured and written down, so progress is something you can see and the weak links show up before they cost you a season.
Annual Injury-Prevention + Movement Screen
A yearly objective movement and strength screen, sold on its own.
Return-to-Sport / Performance Testing
Objective strength and movement testing to confirm you are truly ready to return.
Testing describes where you are today. What it means for your sport is a clinical conversation, and your results are read with you, not mailed to you.
Calm the problem without losing your season.
When something hurts, the goal is to keep you moving while it settles. The non-surgical toolkit is priced up front and delivered in-office, on your schedule.
StemWave Shockwave
Non-invasive acoustic wave sessions for stubborn tendon, joint, and soft-tissue aches that have not settled with basic care.
Mapping $50Orthopaedic Laser
Five to ten minute sessions for temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain and stiffness, with no downtime.
Session $100Image-Guided Injections
Corticosteroid, Toradol, and hyaluronic acid, placed with ultrasound or fluoroscopy guidance and priced up front.
From the price pageOne-on-one rehab, on your surgeon's plan.
Physical therapy with Dr. Christie Smith, PT, DPT: the whole session is yours, built off the same diagnosis and imaging your surgeon used, with strength work that points at your sport rather than a generic protocol.
Out of network, with claims assistance: if your plan has out-of-network benefits we can file the claim on your behalf. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.Check your benefits
The return decision, made with evidence.
Going back too early is how small problems become surgical ones. Return-to-sport testing puts objective strength and symmetry numbers in front of you, your therapist, and your surgeon, so the green light is a measurement, not a feeling.
For a decision you can defend
Weighing a return, a procedure, or someone else’s surgical recommendation? Bring the imaging and get a straight, written read from a sports surgeon.
Performance questions, answered.
What happens in the movement screen?
A 60-minute objective assessment of strength, movement quality, and side-to-side symmetry, done annually. You leave with your numbers, what they mean, and a plan for anything worth working on. It is sold on its own, and no ongoing commitment is attached to it.
What is return-to-sport testing?
Objective strength and movement testing against your sport's demands, most often after an injury or surgery, to inform the return decision with measurements rather than a guess. Your surgeon and physical therapist read the results together.
Do I need to be a JOI surgical patient?
No. Athletes and active adults can book the screen, testing, or physical therapy directly, and anything the testing surfaces can be evaluated by Dr. Smith in the same practice, usually within days.
Does insurance cover this?
We are out of network and everything is paid up front. For covered services like physical therapy and testing we provide an itemized superbill and can file an out-of-network claim on your behalf, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. If you have Medicare, tell us before you book and we will work your price out with you directly.
