Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, health care providers must give patients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical items and services. A Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of care you can reasonably expect before you receive it.

We are an out-of-network Direct Specialty Care practice. You pay the posted price up front, we provide an itemized superbill and can file out-of-network claims on your behalf, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. Because of this model, a Good Faith Estimate is a natural fit for how we work: transparent pricing is the point.

What your estimate includes

• A description of the primary item or service, and the expected charges for it.
• Related items or services that are reasonably expected to be provided as part of your care.
• Identifying details for our practice and provider.

An estimate is exactly that: an estimate. Your final cost can change if your care needs change. We will talk you through any difference before proceeding whenever we can.

Your rights

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
• You can ask for an estimate before you schedule, or at any time during your care.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the charges through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
• Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
